Landscaping Website Rewrite: Before and After, Line by Line

Landscaper laying turf in a suburban backyard

Picture two landscaping websites. Both are run by capable crews. One says "Quality landscaping solutions for all your outdoor needs." The other says what it does, where, and what happens next. Which one does a homeowner with a bare backyard ring?

Here is a rewrite exercise any landscaper can run on their own homepage, line by line. We offer no ranking or AI-mention promises, just a clearer page.

The headline: before and after

Before: "Your garden, our passion." After: a line stating the work and the area, such as "Turfing, retaining walls and garden design for homes in your suburb." Replace the suburb with the places you truly service. A person, or an AI tool summarising your business, can then repeat it accurately.

The services list: before and after

Homeowner browsing a landscaper's website on a phone in the garden

Before: one paragraph listing everything. After: short sections for each job, each answering the question a customer really asks: how long, what is involved, what do I need to decide? Most of those visitors are on a phone, as in our look at website myths for locksmiths, from PK SEO, so check it reads well on a small screen.

The proof: before and after

Before: "Trusted by hundreds." After: only real, checkable details: your own project photos, licences that apply to you, and genuine customer comments you have permission to use. If you cannot back a claim up, leave it out.

The next step: before and after

Landscaper and homeowner walking through a garden plan

Before: a contact form buried at the bottom. After: a visible phone number, a short form, and one line saying what happens after they get in touch. Traffic without enquiries is a failure signal, so judge the page by calls and quotes, not visits.

Do you pass the stranger test?

Read the page as someone who has never heard of you. Could they say what you do, where, and why to trust you? That is the heart of trust and authority, for people and AI tools alike. Nobody can guarantee a mention in any search result or AI answer, but a page that is easy to understand gives you the best chance of being described correctly.
